Guide me about Atm transactions please...

Hi guys,i applied for a general visa for University of Regina on 1st Aug,I hope i get the visa soon but i as i haven't got it yet and there are only 8 days left for my classes to start,i was thinking about keeping all the things in order.i have some issue with the money thing.

I have got 3 international debit cards of Indian banks,i didnt get a Canadian bank account yet,will my cards work at Canada? if yes then how much is the limit.Please guide me i can do any thing else for easy transactions as i still have 8 day time.

if they r international cards(master, visa etc) they should work u need to find details from ur bank which issued those cards. u can normally withdraw from an atm $500 per day with a certain limit on how much u can withdraw overall in a week. u can open a bank account right away once u land in canada . u should take bulk of ur money in travelers cheques or wiretransfer etc that way u can shop around for the best conversion rate ...atm will charge u a fee and a very low conversion rate ......just a thought.
