The doctor did that because Port of Spain is the capitol of Trinidad and Tobago.......................

Hello
Are you serious I did not know this all this time I thought they would go straight to Guatemala, lol and another thing how long does port of spain stay with the meds and when does the vo in guatemala recieve them

yeah check the receipt the dr gave you (the one you had to send to CPC-M) if you made a photocopy. and the only thing i know about the medicals according to the chart about PR medicals are the last step before approval of PR at least thats what i think...

Hello canguate
I never saw that reciept I think my lawyer has a copy, ya I am not to sure about the meds being last, but now I got passport request in feb so maybe b4 my husbands meds expire which is in august hopefully I will get decision made.
Good luck

Hey Alex
Best of luck! I was just at the canadian embassy today picking up my daughters passport I wish it were for my hubbies PR visa as well!
If you read the guide for outland application there is a chart on page 33 called "The application process"
Best of luck for the quick processing, this whole thing sure is stressful!
Hang in here and keep me updated how its going (I'm still waiting for a letter from CPC M saying i am approved as sponsor for our application decision made mar 24 and we have gotten nothing but relying on ECAS which says they have his application form Apr 4)
Good luck eh!

Hey canguate
I know I wish I could be their tooo but we have to be patient and wait our turn as well about that manuel I didnt read nothing I hired a lawyer and she did everything for us and of course this situation is stressful, as well dont really rely on ecas because for me it only says application recieved and for months never has changed but then look they asked for my husband passport, police certificate, and permenant resident fee , so they could be working on your app but they wont update every detail on ecas, and yes keep me updated with ur case, as well if u didnt know their is a thread for the guatemala visa office their are other with the same situation as us.
GOOD LUCK

Alex, did the CIC ask you to send new police certificates when they requested your husband's passport? also, did you not pay the fee upfront when you filed your application? I think not sending the receipt of fees paid WITH your application would definitely delay the process.

Hey Aneyshar
I never sent any police certificate when I first filed the application, which was in september 2010 in march 2011 they requested for my husbands passport, rcmp, criminal record from costa rica, $400 ARC fee, and I sent everything march 18 2011 and since then havent heard from them as well hy husbands medicals expire in august and his criminal record for costa rica is only valid for 3 months which is already expired, am thinking they are going to request a new criminal record ( costa rica) and for him to re-do his medicals, but who knows as well I payed everything except for the $400 ARC I payed that in march 2011 when they requested

Police records and medical exams are valid for one year from the date they were done. The condition attached to police certificates is that they can be no more than 3 months old when the application reaches CPC-M, so your husband's Costa Rican record expires one year after he did it.
