Job Offer........
Pre-Assessed..
Well my fiance received mail from the CRA saying he owes $124 for GST/HST credit until they can verify that he qualifies for it.

1. Will owing this money cause problems with sponsorship approval especially if they can't give him an answer before sending off the PR app?
2. Would this show up on the Option C printout as we already received that?
3. Does it matter if his marital status on the Option C says "common-law" because at the end of 2009 we qualified as common law and so he filed as such which is why they want to make sure he is still eligible for the credit?

Why dont you pay the 124 to be safe as it states you can not owe the government money.Just pay it at the bank then once you ap is done then fix it.

Well obviously we are going to pay it, I just don't want to incur with more problems down the road.
Also, I would really like to know if the money you owe shows up on the Option C? I would like to know if I should reorder a new one after paying the $124 or not.

Also, I would really appreciate some senior member advice on my questions. Thank you.

Did G owe the $124.00 before you requested the option C? Not sure of the answer and I thought the option C related to SI and income tax but having said that, I think perhaps it could because it is a tax debt... Someone somewhere will know... If you pay it and it's not "late" or anything I wonder if it would show up anyway or if it would have to be outstanding?

I'm not a senior member though :o Grandpa be along soon... ;D
