Last year i went to canada first time from the usa with no issue. I flew in with 1 way ticket, show bank acct statement that i have funds to stay in canada. I left canada then went back after it but this time i bought a bus ticket as oppose to flight ticket. However when i was going to board the greyhound bus in the usa, they would not let me board it without a return ticket. I said i didn't need a return ticket when i flew in last year and didnt know i needed a return ticket for greyhound bus.

They told me they would not let me board without a return ticket. Is this greyhound policy? I asked was this something recent and i think they mentioned yes. I had told them i didn't know the exact date when im leaving canada back to the usa so i said i would buy a ticket in canada when i come back and i was told i needed to buy a return ticket now so i did.

However at the border, i was not asked to see a return ticket just asked how long i plan to stay and what my intentions are.

So basically if you take a greyhound bus from the USA entering canada, are you allowed to board it without a return ticket?

I would think you are allowed to board if you are Canadian or Canadian PR. I think they want people in any other groups to have a ticket incase they are not allowed in the country.

Sounds like a Greyhound policy.
