GOVERNMENT POSITION

IN FORM IMM5669 IT ASKS IF ANY GOVT POSITIONS HELD.

WHEN IN INDIA I WORKED WITH A NATIONALISED BANK WHICH IS STRICTLY SPEAKING NOT A GOVT COMPANY BUT A GOI UNDERTAKING. SHALL I MENTION THIS AS A GOVT JOB.

ALSO WILL IT BE A NEGATIVE OR POSITIVE IF ONE HAS HELD A GOVT POST.

Employment in a Nationalized Bank in India is not considered as Government Service. There is nothing special as to say + or - for being a government employee.

One of our forum members is working in a senior position in a nationalised bank. He got the visa and has also landed and came back. So, no problem. But you have to manage inquiry etc. Don't tell your bank that you are applying for FSW. They will not issue you any NOC for FSW. You have to evolve other methods.
