Government bonds and end of service benefits as proof of funds

Hello everyone,

Can I use the following as proof of funds:

1) Government saving bonds ( certificate with my name on it availavle). I can also request a letter from them as proof.

2) End of setvice benefits from my employer. I can also request a letter from my employer.

I shall be thankful for answering my queries.
