Hi All,

Background : My employer is in Toronto and has sent me temporarily to client's location in Montreal. I applied for PR in CEC and provided the LOE explaining the same. I got COPR on 30 march

Question :
1. How soon I have to leave quebec, the contract with this client is supposed to end this year in December
2. To whom I have to convey that I am here temporarily and will eventually move to Toronto where my employer is
3. Can I apply for SIN from Montreal, Quebec in this case
4. Can I apply for RAMQ Health Card in this case

cc : @legalfalcon

If you have receive a COPR (signed and stamped) your are a PR and you can live anywhere in Canada including Quebec. Also, you do not have to inform anyone.

You can apply for a RAMQ card and SIN. SIN is managed by the federal government through service Canada.

hi @legalfalcon, I need your expert advice sir, I got my PR in May 2021 but I did not get my Pr card yet. The address during my PR was Brampton Ontario. but now I moved to Quebec. Is there any impact of this on my PR card and/ or application for a Visitor visa for my brother? Can I apply Visitor visa for my brother from Quebec or should I wait for My PR card first?

PR cards are delayed.

For your brother to apply for a visa, they will have to apply and you can only provide a letter of invitation. It will not matter whether you are in QC. After you become a PR, you can travel and live in any part of Canada, unless you are a PNP, then you may have residency obligations from the Province that nominated you.
