Hi All,

I am in US and recently received the PPR email to submit the passport. It gives me only 1 option to send the passport to the Canada address. I don't see any option of submitting to any location in US.

Can anyone please advise if there are any alternatives like submitting the passport at Canada Embassy in NY or some other place?

Any help on this is really appreciated !!

Why are you not willing to send it to Ottawa? Many thousands including I have done this and there is no issue to send passports using FedEx/UPS etc using trackable shipping from USA. If you want to really avoid sending it to Ottawa yourself, you can request CPC Ottawa to provide you with Canadian consulate address in US and they may do so on a case by case basis. However, more than likely they will send it to Ottawa themselves as COPR/PPRs are processed there. If I were you, I would just send it to Ottawa as requested and keep things simple, use FedEx pre-paid return shipping and you can track it when CPC sends it back after processing.

In the past I have read here on the forum where CPC-Ottawa has provided US Consulate addresses on case by case basis for PPR submission. Having said that, they will then send it to Ottawa themselves. Many times even TRVs are also sent to Ottawa for processing, mine was such a case. I had submitted it to LA Consulate long time back before I ever became PR but LA Consulate sent it to Ottawa for TRV processing. My visa was printed and issued in Ottawa and not LA though passport was sent to LA.
