Hi I have a question about holding both WP and SP.

I came to Canada on the OWP, close to its expiry I got accepted to George Brown and got my Study Permit.

My WP was still valid so I continued working on it till October. My studies started in Septemer and I know intl student usually can't work first 6 months. But I did work first month because I still had my old WP that had not expired then. Plz help me understand if I broke the law.

Thank you!

As a student you were not allowed to work for first six months even though you had OWP. Stop now, if you are still working.

it was a very long time ago... I got OCWP and PGWP after that np... I am just wondering if that was the luck on my side I got OCWP and PGWP or was it that CIC knew but still issued me my permits?

How bad is it for future PR?

Hi,

You won't face any problem If you already got PGWP.
But it was nothing about 6 months OCWP.
Actually when you receive study permit, You need to surrender your OWP.

Good Luck.
