I am November 25 applicant and Finally all my family members received MR!!
After long time waiting, i have a question. So if someone could give me any advice I would be very grateful!!
We are expecting a newborn baby within 2 weeks (due date is October 6). Is it better to inform CIC about it at this time or to wait until baby is born..?! And do you know what medical checks needs to be done for kid (8 year old) and for newborn baby?

Thanks a lot!!!

I think you have got 30 days (or 60 days?). If delivery is all normal then ask your doctor, i think you can do medical after 2-3 weeks. If your child is born in Canada then no medical test required for the new born. In any case, I think you should let CIC know about your situation.

Yes, we have 60 days to do our Medicals. And the baby will be born in UK, I mean outside Canada. Does anyone know what medical exams needs to be done for kids..?

drop an email to CPC - O regarding your condition and they will provide with all the steps. I am in same boat, but, have to wait for more time for our kids :)

Hi EB.

We just had medicals done for myself, my husband and almost 6 year old son. HE just had a medical exam at the doctors office (general health plus eyesight and urine test). He did not need chest x-ray or blood tests. I think that is the case for under 10 (or maybe 12?).

HTH.
