Got landing interview from Etobicoke, but traveling outside soon

Hi ,

I got landing interview appointment from etobicoke cic, but I heard they only provide CoPR and does not stamp single entry visa on passport. I cannot wait till my card arrive since I have planned to leave next month and will be in India only for 2 weeks. Hence, I won't have enough time to get PR Travel Document.

Would it be possible to ask at Etobicoke office to stamp a single entry visa and complete the PR process at that time, if I tell them the urgency and show the flight booking ?

Cic just put all my plans upside down , since I was expecting a PPR.

Hi

No, they cannot give you a visa. Once you land, you will be a PR and therefore not able to get a visa. You can ask to reschedule your landing, provided your medical is not going to expire. Or if you have a US visa, land and fly back to the US to enter Canada at a land border.
