Got invited to apply for family sponsorship today, but found out that Quebec no longer accepts undertakings??

Hello everyone,

First of all, congrats to those who got their invitation this week from the 2020 pool, as I did.

The E-mail I received this morning mentions that I need to apply for my family sponsorship application with a deadline October 9th, 2025.

I live in Quebec, and as I was filling the application for my parents, I noticed the following paragraph:

If we approve your sponsorship application, we’ll ask you to submit an undertaking application to the Quebec ministry in charge of immigration.

I went on the website and also saw

Important notice​

The maximum number of undertaking applications to sponsor a parent (father, mother), a grandparent or another family member has been reached for the period June 26, 2024 to June 25, 2026. This means that:

• The Ministère is not receiving any new undertaking applications for these family members until June 25, 2026;
• You may submit an undertaking application for these family members when a new application reception period opens.

Does it mean that I cannot submit the application to my family?

I live in Quebec but hired in Ontario and I work remotely from Quebec and pay my taxes in Quebec. Would moving to Ontario solve the issue if it's a blocker?

My parents's PR got processed for exactly 1 year and 19 days. it is much faster than I expected !!

Thanks. I think you mean that I should move to Ontario and get this shit done instead of waiting for Quebec, right?
