Dear Uncle sam,

This confirms that your application to Sponsor a Member of the Family Class has been received by Citizenship and Immigration Canada (CIC) on 2014/12/22 on behalf of the following member(s):

Anna Banana

--- how long is the waiting period usually after this?
is it close to being approved or can be denied?
Thanks,
Kieran

It depends what your visa office is. However the UCI is typically issued early on in the process (not at the end).

This is your AOR (aknowlgment of receipt)
This just CIC informing you they have your application. If you log into the application status checker (ECAS)
It should tell you what point your at in the application.
Judging by this your still waiting for sponsor approval (SA), plus stage 2 approval also.
It very much depends which VO they assign to you for stage 2. You will find this out once you get SA.

Hi,

Got SA 3 weeks ago, I just remember I need to do alot of stuff before leaving for canada. Is the result gonna be coming out soon or i still have at least months to wait. I rather wait for 6 months coz i need to finish things before flying.

Thanks

Once again, pretty much impossible to comment unless you're willing to tell us what your visa office is.

Usually UCI mentioned in AOR is sponsor's UCI, not for applicant. u better confirm if UCI mentioned in AOR is different from sponsor's UCI

The current processing time is 17 months for Manila. Now it says on that on CIC's website, we know 80% of applications are approved before that so you will prob be best to check out the spreadsheet for the Manila visa office to get an idea on timelines. I would say your prob looking at another 9-12 months before you will be approved.

Hi All,

I received an email with regards to passport request and Appendix A.
Just wondering will it take more than 6 months more , would prefer to leave later than sooner. How can I delay my visa issuance?

Thanks,

Thanks,

Your CoPR will be valid for one year from the date of your medical exam. You would need to enter Canada before the expiry date to land as a Permanent Resident.

This should give you plenty of time to take care of things before coming to Canada.

Manila very often likes to request passports at the beginning of the 2nd stage and hold on to them.

Chris.

I took an upfront medical last year of august, does it means i have to fly before august 2015? Also should i tell the Canadian embassy about my recent bone graft operation. Thanks

Being its August that your meds will expire you still have some time...A lot of things can be done in this time period by CEM one just never knows their agenda. As for the operation I really don't think its needed to contact them, however a more senior member may be able to chime in with an appropriate answer.
