Hello

Well, we have finally applied for the PR. It took us almost two months to collect all the information required and to do everything and double check it but it is done. We applied early this month and we are very confident. It is just matter of time.

My husband paid the fees online and he attached the receipt to the documents. But on friday he got an envelope from Immigration with a receipt to pay for the fees (!?) with no instructions or whatsoever.

He's gonna write a letter explaining that we paid and attaching the receipt again and asking to start processing our application. That's what we think.

Have you had any similar experiences? Do you have any opinion?

Thanks in advance

Did he happen to order a receipt online to pay at the bank as well? That sounds similar to what I got when I ordered my receipt, then took it to the bank and paid.

You can email the VO to confirm they need a copy of the receipt or just mail in another copy.

VOs seem to be good at misplacing paperwork. ::)

Hi amikety

Thanks for replying.

Well, we paid online. We sent the receipt with the package. They sent us the same receipt to pay at the bank. But we have paid.

So we're thinking on sending a copy again tomorrow with a letter saying we will do whatever is necessary.

It is so early in the process and they're already missing documents... hmmm

Well, I guess once we send it should be no problem.

Thanks again

hi i got the same thing today in email;
Payment Instructions: Refer to the CIC Website at
www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/fees/index.asp for detailed instructions on how to pay immigration
fees as no fees were submitted. This must be received at this office by: 06/14/2013
but im sur i pay all fees 1040$ online when i applied and i send the copy of payment, please my freinds tell me what i have to do in this case

email them back and attach a copy of your receipt that shows that you paid...it is like the payment just had to register. U have the receipt and it shows that you did pay.

They've lost many documents over the years. Police clearances, birth certificates, etc. I imagine in the piles of paperwork on their desk, something gets misplaced from time to time. Don't take it personally - it happens to a lot of people.

Just send in a copy of the receipt and it'll be fine. Make sure to quote your file number, sponsor's name and UCI, applicant's name and UCI (if you have one yet), and give your address.

Go here: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/offices/missions/rabat.asp

You can pick between a general email and a case inquiry (I would use that one).
