Hi,

Below are my scores

L : 7.5
S: 7.0
W: 6.5
R: 5.5 :(

overall is 6.5

Am i eligible for immigration with the above score? or do i need to take a re-test ?

Need help Guys

would a higher score give you more points towards your required total, or is it just a PASS/FAIL situation for your plans?

It seems i need 67 points, wherein i currently have only 62. I wanted to check is there any other way to avoid a re-test and just go with the current score ?

I think you may need to check out this thread.

If you are planning on applying for FSW when this stream re-opens in May to applicants without job offers, then your IELTS score is too low to qualify. You need to re-take the test.

hi.. i got an ielts total band score of 7.5
listening - 9.0
reading - 7.0
writing - 7.0
speaking - 6.5
my consultancy told me that i should be ready to take a re-test because my scores does not qualify the proposed changes that will be release this april 2013. im really confused with the changes and score calculations that i see on the ne.. pls help :( :(

Thanks scylla,

Another clarification,

How much do you think will i be needing now to qualify for the same ? 8 overall ? as in a mix of 7 & 8 bands in each ?

What if i make my spouse appear for IELTS and manage to get 6.5 to 7 ? will that add any points to my application rather than me re-taking the test ?
