Hi Everyone,

Just wanted to check if anyone of you has any good options for Cheap and Good Quality digital photo printing Service. I am planning to print out about 45 to 60 Photos.

a) Shoppers Drug Mart - 19 cents for 4x6 printouts
b) Costco - 10 cents for 4x6 printouts (Needs Membership)

Is there any other options. I don't mind going for a little larger size but for a reasonable price. This might help others in the forum too who have some large scale printing to do.

Thanks,
Al

Depends on where you are, but walmart is either 19 cents as well or cheaper sometimes.

Thanks. I am located in Toronto. I will check the prices of Walmart too this weekend.

I did mine at Shoppers which I was told was cheaper than Walmart. To reduce costs I did two photos on one page so that helped.

That's not a bad idea....I would probably do that...I checked yesterday night at a 24 hr shoppers after work and they said it might take about 40 mins to do 50 to 60 4x6 prints.....

do they leave spaces??? I could write down a description or ID the Photos with a Table of contents or Index :)

There wasn't sufficient space given the size of paper to write so I just wrote on the back so that's ok.

Ask a friend to get you a Costco cash card!

I do have friends who have Costo membership. Thought there might be an Id verification for Photo services. I have used the card for minor purchases before without any issue ;)

I know walmart also offers a one hour service which is a bit cheaper then the on the spot printing. You can go pick the pics you want printed from whatever media you have (cell phone, sd card ect.) Then shop around for the hour, kill two birds with one stone so to speak.

I wanted to keep my prints for myself so I took them home after printing and loaded two at a time in my printer and colour copied them. I left enough space for a description of each picture below them. I used regular white paper. This is all costly enough, emotionally and financially, I had no intentions on sending in pics that I may not get back and would then have to get again.

I hope this helps

It's only $10. Driving around checking out prices will cost more in gas.

Ours were 4p at Costco in the UK but we had almost 150

We did ours at Costco- it just required the member to be there and scan their card when we paid, i t didn't seem to matter that the photos weren't for them. We also did the application photos at the same time as they have the specific size required for PR as one of the options.

I've arranges 3 photos per page on a microsoft word document with a typed description next to each picture. will this be ok? I'm going to color print it somewhere soon so it can keep most of the quality!

Costco has a nice online service where you can upload your photos online, and when they are ready, they are sent to the Costco you specified. If your friends with costco cards would be willing to let you upload through their account, they can also pick up the photos for you the next time they are in.

I have a costco membership, and I love the quality of their photos. I can't speak much to the quality of other places as I use Costco on a regular basis. Good luck!

Walmart lets you upload and order the prints from home, then go pick up in store. Basically, you can sit on your couch and upload instead of standing around their photolab. That's how I printed copies of wedding photos for the father-in-law's book.

They also have a ton of options, which was nice.

Thanks for all the tips :)..... Will probably get to it by this weekend. If i don't go for the Costco, Shoppers Drug mart would be the 2'nd best option for the price range. And yeah i know it's only 10 to 13 bucks, but the topic was best option for a reasonable price range. I don't mind going for a bigger size if I get a decent deal, even 40 to 50 cents sounds fine to me, but the quality should be worth the price :).
