Hi all, we are just starting our Immigration process but i've come up with a problem. Our story is ...
My husband is Canadian, myself English, we live in the UK where he has Indefinate leave, we have been married for 9 years. Our application is Family (spouse sponsership).I have one dependant child (17years old) who will NOT be coming with us. (He wants to stay close to his father and to go to University in the UK).
Now I have included him in the application, for possible future plan changes. We believe that we can get an up front medical which i think my son also needs to have .... that's fine. The police certificate is the thing... He will be 18 in March ... Any ideas how this will work? I've read that under 18 and living in the same country he doesn't need a police check... but how will that effect things if he turns 18 when the application is in progress?
Many thanks for anyone looking and replies

I would try posting your question and reading the threads in the Family Class section of this forum. This is the part of the forum where people who are sponsoring a spouse discuss their questions and issues - and your question will get the most reads and replies if posted there. Here's the link to that section of the forum:

Thank you Scylla for your advice, have reposted in the Family class as suggested. Wishing good luck to all in their quest :)
