I have declared all gold jewellery at the time of landing but I may sell part of it before I come to Canada permanently. Will this be a problem?
Is it better to sell 22K and 24K gold in Canada or India for cash?

No, no problem. Depends on whether you can get a price higher than the world price of gold in India. In Canada, you are only going to get gold scrap value.

Scrap price per gram.
24 karat $ 51.31
22 karat $ 46.53
E. Indian $ 42.30

A question for PMM :)

Will it be ok if I carry all the gold with me in hand luggage, when I am moving permanently from UK, (I have declared it in my goods to follow list)

Thanks!

hello everyone
i am from Pakistan and settling in Canada through SINP family member category i don't know about jewelry do i have to show them the actual jewelry or just show them the pictures of my jewelry because some people said that i have to make 2 copies of the jewelry photographs/pictures 1 for the custom counter and 1 copy for our record.if we take the jewelry to canada and in the future bring the same jewelry item to our country will we have to pay duty on it or not?is it true and compulsory to declare the jewelry items on the custom counter once we have arrived in canada so we do not have to pay duty for it? kindly inform me with his knowledge and clear my misunderstanding it would be a great help from the people who have already settled there..
thank you

In my opinion Pakistani and Indian gold have no worth if you can sell your Gold in Pakistan or India i am sure you get better payment as compare to you can sell your Gold in Canada.

Hi there, we did our landing and had two copies of the jewellery pictures in our goods to list list and one copy was stamped by customs and given back to us and the other the officer kept for their records. Hope this helps.

hello everyone,

--- I and my husband are going to land in September first week, how weather will be in Calgary in the month of September.

--- can any one tell me what type of warm cloths should we bring? is there any particular material? can i purchase from there?

--- In B4 forms if we declare that Vessels @ 50$, Grocessary @ 100$, cloths @ 100$, electronics @100$ will do or have to mention
everything in Details? Is is necessary to declare value of clothes?

I just landed about 3 weeks ago and i actually forgot to include my gold in the list of my household items that i declared. I got to know about this gold declaration yesterday when i called CBSA for another issue. Please help what should i do. Thanks
