HI! I am a graduate of Ottawa U in 2012, and for the past year I have been working under my post graduation work permit so that i can apply for permanent resident. I have just submitted my Permanent residency application and begin my 13 months wait (but expect longer because of the strike). Things took an unexpected turn when I got admitted to Ottawa U for a Master's degree in Sept 2013.....since I don't have my permanent residence yet, I would need a student visa. Unfortunately, I am not able to go back to my home country to get it, since my current work contract will not end till Aug 31, 2013....as a result I am stuck in Canada.....I am wondering if I can apply for the student visa within Canada? Is there anyone else who is in a similar situation that can offer me some advice?
