Going back home on vacation

I am on the caregiver program me for 11 months now & i want to go to Jamaica ( home town) for a vacation, do you know what i need to take with me? or will there be any problems for me to get back in Canada on my return? help me please i really need to visit home but i don't want to go back home and can't enter back in Canada.

1. You will need a valid TRV (visitor visa) your work permit and letter from your employer to re-enter Canada.

If you have valid multiple re-entry visa, you don't have to apply. If not, you have to apply for trv visa before you leave canada.

renewing my permit

(1) I am renewing my application on line but i don't know where to send it when i'm through.Any info where to send it?
(2) My work permit is going to expire January 19, 2013. can i renew in October 2012 or maybe its too early?
(3) I'm with the same employer, do i need to get a new lmo? i was told by my friends is that true?

ill try to answer some of your question\;

1. there is no online application for TRV, i think but im not sure. but for work permit renewal, go to this link. you have to make an account, an existing email, follow the instructions in the mycic and youll be fine. if you are using online application you do not need to send to mail your application. and i would highly recommend you use online application as has a faster processing days.

2. i am not sure if you can apply as early as october but i have read somewhere that you need to renew at least a month before the expiry date of your work permit.

3. you do not need a new lmo for same employer. i didnt include it and i got a renewal. however, you will need to include a new contract, letter from employer stating they are renewing your contract, passport and passport details and of course payment.

Another question grade08, there is a question on the work permit application (employment for the past 10yrs) what if i can't remember the exact month, will it cause a problem with my application? i did 1yrs an 1month before i came to Canada with my previous employer, but i don't remember the exact month of the ones in 2001 . Another question duration of employment? my employer is employing me for another 1yrs. should i put from the date the permit expired to the end of the 1yrs? permit expired January 19,2013.
