I came into the country in November as a conditional permanent resident with my long term girlfriend and have been living in BC since.

I recently split with my girlfriend and now I'm planning to leave Canada. I'm having a hard time figuring out exactly how/who I notify that I'm leaving.

Does anyone have any info that either I or my ex could use to tell someone?

Thanks

you don't need to notify anyone .

Sorry to hear that things didn't work out. The right thing to do would be to renounce your PR, since your relationship has ended and you cannot meet the Condition 51 requirement...plus the fact that she'd be financially responsible for you for another couple of years. Here's the link with information:
http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/voluntarily-renounce.asp

Good luck to you both.

I'd let CIC do their own work. You don't need to renounce anything . . . Just leave at your own convenience.

Really?! If the relationship has broken down and the PR wants to leave...why should the sponsor be on the hook, financially, if the PR decides to come back to Canada?
