so i am so confused now again! in IMM 1344 and IMM 0008 forms its says - Given names - exactly as shown on your passport or travel document, but my name is Elīna, and when we ar etrying to validate forms its says - the following character are invalid : ī
help! what to do!? use pen after i print out all forms?

That's what I'd do. Print it off and then with a pen put the little thing on (I don't know what it's actually called sorry!) Or just use an i. Not sure how it works with your language but that's just what I'd do.

Just use the i and amend it to ī after you print it.

I have the same question for my Citizenship application. What is the immigration document in question? Confrmation of Permanent Residence? PR card? The last passport?
Because my first name of the CPR is "Marcel David Alan"
My first name on my PR card is "Marcel David A"
My first name on my last Belgian passport is just "Marcel David A."

I'm thinking of writing as on my passport, so "Marcel David A.".
Will it matter?

*Those names are fictional and not my real name
