Hi Friends!

In my online application I submitted on April 1, 2017 (after receiving ITA), I mentioned Given Name: Naeem Ahmed and Family Name: Not Applicable. As I have been following the same format when I created my EE profile and throughout OINP (received my Ontario Provincial Nomination), will that cause any challenges now? I don't have a family name in my passport and that's the reason, I did that and the system accepted it. Please let me know.

Thanks in advance,

Naeem Ahmed

If you dont have Family Name(Surname) in passport you should have filled passport Given name in Family name column on application forms.

Here's a quote from one of the guides in CIC which could help answer your question. (afraid if its too late for you)

Personal Details
Question 1

Full name
Type your family name (surname) as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.
Note: If you do not have a family name on your passport, travel or identity document, enter all your given name(s) here and leave the given name field blank.
Type all of your given name(s) (first, second, or more) as it appears on your passport, travel or identity document (even if the name is misspelled). Do not use initials.
Note: If you do not have a given name on your passport, travel or identity document, leave this field blank. Do not enter “*”, “Not applicable” or “NA”.

Thanks for your response, well wisher! I already sent a note about this through web query to IRCC a few days ago, but haven't received the response yet.

I missed that point while submitting the application. Also, I received my OINP using the same format. So, what can I do now?
