Hi everybody,
I have no clue what to do, immigration received my family class sponsorship application late October last year and my online status with cic is still just received, my work visa expires in January 2014, however since applying i've found out that i'm pregnant expecting early February 2015.
What do I do, im 32 so I cannot reapply or extend my visa im on(I think) what happens if I do not hear anything, im afraid my status will be up and im about to give birth, I can't stop thinking about this.

:)

If you're on IEC at the moment, you wouldn't be able to extend it anyways under any condition. As I understand your work visa expired already? I wouldn't be too worried about the online status, as CIC is working on applications received in June, so you'll have to wait for your turn a little while still :) be nothing but patient :)

a) What was the nature of your work visa? Open or closed?
b) Is your spouse a Canadian Citizen/PR and you submitted inland application?
c) Are you required to inform CIC about your pregnancy or is just okey?

a) Already answered. It was an IEC. So an open work permit that can't be extended and that doesn't benefit from implied status.

Im on an IEC, its an open one, it expires in January and there is the age limit to it which I just made the cut on my last visa renewal so there's probably no chance of getting another one.
My boyfriend is Canadian and we applied inland, from reading the cic website I do not have to inform them until the child is born, any ideas on what I could do, will more then likely loose my provincial healthcare too as my visa would have expired upon babies arrival.

You can apply for your EI I think,
you should have enough hours to qualify, and if you are in process you may retain your health
benefits. As spouse you may need to apply for a temporary residence permit. That will cover your
residency implications.
Best thing to do is go to Immigration office and explain your situation, and apply for your temporary residency status.
You should apply for your temporary permit at least a couple of months before your working permit expires, Everything will be OK,
maybe the pregnancy makes you worry a little more, its just about learning what is the better way to follow,
but there is always a way... God Bless you, your husband and your Baby

I think before contacting CIC best thing would be to gather more information and suggestions from senior forum members. You can also consult with expert immigration lawyers. Your open work permit is not extendable and what should be other best alternatives, you must explore very elaborately. Don't worry I think you will be okey with your inland application.
