Hi Everyone!
I hope you can help me with my situation:
I have been nominated for the AINP H1b program recently and now waiting for my FBI clearance before sending my application to CIC. I am currently working in the US under H1b but I have gotten a job offer (short term, maybe 4-5 months) from a company in Vancouver. The job's start date is on October while I am hoping to send my PNP application to CIC for Alberta in a month.
I know that once you get your nomination from Alberta, you can send the application to CIC from anywhere and you don't have to be on H1B anymore either.
My question is: if getting a work permit in another province (British Columbia) will affect my application for permanent residency in Alberta? Between the two, I would rather get the PR in Alberta as the work permit is a short term thing. But it would be great to get both so that I can have my stay in Vancouver count toward becoming a citizen, if everything pans out.
Any kind of advice would be most welcome. Thank you!
