Hey Everyone,

when applying for the Federal Skilled Express Entry program (haven't actually started application yet) it mentions getting Qualification assessed (carpentry) and it offers multiple websites to go through to assess/transfer Qualifications to Canadian Equivalent. WES for example, it says at the start of the application that Trade qualifications are not assessed!!

How do i get them assessed??

Thanks in advanced team!

I guess FST as that would be through a trade right?

Have you obtained certification from a Canadian province in your trade? There's no WES assessment needed. You need to go through the process of being certified in Canada.

No I haven't! So I do need to go through the province to use that for immigration, would I still need to if I do not intend to work as a carpenter?

If you want to apply through the FST program, you either need a job offer in Canada as a carpenter or you need to be certified as a carpenter in Canada.
