Hello! My fiancé and I are getting married in December of 2014. He is a Canadian citizen and I'm an American. We are planning on filing via the outland process, and I will still be working in the United States during the process. We were planning to start trying to have a baby immediately after. My question is, how would it work if I became pregnant during the filing period? Would my husband's coverage cover prenatal care for the baby? Would the baby and I be able to stay in Canada, or we would have to remain in the States? Does the baby fall under my residency sponsorship or would my then-husband have to file a separate sponsorship form for the baby? We are just trying to weigh our options before having a child, making sure all of our ducks are in a row. I did review the CIC information but couldn't find anything about pregnancy on there. Any information you could provide would be greatly appreciated!
