Hello, dear friends. I have a question. It's about PR. If I have no contact with the father of my children. I don't know where he is and what he is. How can I legalise my children within the country in this case? Can I apply for PR only for myself? And for the children, let's say, to get a study permit. Is this option possible? Is there any other option possible in my case? Please share your experience, if you have encountered it.

Termination of parental rights is not an option.

Thank you all very much

Have you taken steps to try and find the father of your children? Contacting family members of the man II for example. Hiring a personal investigator may also be an option. Do you have a formal custody agreement? You will not be able to not include your children on your PR application. Have you looked to see whether you would qualify for PR? What is your CRS score? Will you be moving to Canada as a single parent or with a partner? The cost of living is very high in Canada but many single parents are struggling to afford the basics and having to turn to charities like foodbanks to feed their families

You either need to get sole legal custody of the children or written permission from the father to take the children to Canada.

Hello, thank you for your reply. I've been in Canada. Almost a year. With my children and my parents. We came from Ukraine. Because of the war. I have no contact with my ex-husband and his relatives. The only thing I know is that he also left the country. I don't have full custody of the children. So I don't even know what to do in this situation.

You are fleeing a war. Try to explain that to IRCC and see if they have any suggestion. This is not like other cases where you are applying via an economic stream and your ex doesn't want to talk to you...etc.
