Hello Everyone,

I am planning to do Ontario College Certification in Project Management from Seneca/Humber or any of the private colleges. It is of 1 year certification course.

I would like to know that after completing certification course 1 year of work permit will be given to candidate, Is it renewable? If No, what are other possibilities once work permit is over and will that course be any helpful for getting my PR, please suggest.

Apologies for asking so many questions.
Thank You in advance.

Stick with Seneca or Humber , public colleges, do not take a course in a private college as you probably would not get a post grad work permit. Post grad work permits are not renewable or extendable.

A project management course on its own is unlikely in my view to help that much to get PR as really depends on your qualifications and current work experience. Add to that a PM course only usually being a year means you only get a year PGWP so would need to be very lucky post graduation to immediately land a job to get a full year Canadian work experience.

Thanks a lot for answers, I have 5 years of IT experience. I am not getting enough points for express entry application what are my other PR choices. I am ready for any relevant 8 months or 1 year college course. Please suggest.

If you can do 2 years would mean you could get a 3 year PGWP giving much more of a chance of getting Canadian work experience towards PR. If you still want to do a PM course make sure it has a work placement element as well.

Maybe look at this from Humber https://business.humber.ca/programs/global-business-management.html

Thanks again, I was really happy to read about that course, sounds great, I have dropped a mail to Humber College as well regarding my queries,
it will be 2 years course so the work permit will be 3 years. Thanks.
