Hi All,

I am an established Canadian Citizen, living in Canada, and my fiancee lives in Hong Kong. We have been dating for a number of years now (we have a lot of pictures and correspondance prove it). We intend to get married soon, and my plan is to go over to Hong Kong and have our wedding ceremony there along with the marriage certificate. Then I intend to bring her back with me to Canada and sponsor her as my spouse within Canada.

My fear is that when we enter into Canada (via Vancouver). Will there, or can there, be any issues that I need to be worried about? I will ask that they let her in as a "visitor" and explain that we intend to apply for permanant residency for my wife while she is in Canada.

Can someone kindly tell me if this is a "proper" process to go through? Please reply quickly as we will be getting married May 24th!!!!

Sincerely,
Phil
