This is going to be unusual. I had applied to Canada as a refugee on the grounds of being a lesbian fleeing persecution. Which at the time was true I had only been in lesbian relationships. I was brutally raped at 6 Years old and avoided men in general the next 25 years of my life. However when covid hit and I became a recluse I became emotionally close to my roommate who I have known for a long time. Since after spending 24x7 together for nearly 2 years we have fallen in love and are talking about getting married. He is the first man I have been with and i do love him but I can't risk losing my protected person status or the Pr or citizenship I will attain. I have recieved so many death threats in the past I am genuinely scared to go back I don't think I'll survive if I was deported.
My question is if I were to apply for a marriage license to a man would that cause any issues or am I just paranoid?

Below case may relate to your situation. I dont think Minister can apply for cessation in your case, but in doubt you can wait until you become a citizen
