Hi all,
Would really appreciate some advice on this as a bit stuck. My partner and I originally applied in the UK for the common-law partner visa. As we anticipated it taking a long while what with COVID, we moved to Vancouver (with me working remotely on a visitor visa). Sod's law, two days later we get an email asking for biometrics.
Service Canada offices are currently semi-closed and only processing in-Canada applicants. These are being called individually by IRCC and it's not possible to make an appointment online.
Anyone have any recent experience or advice? Other options I've considered are going to a US Application Support Center across the border but I don't know if a non-US citizen/resident can use these. Or could I use a VAC in Canada? I don't know if these are setup for Canadian visas.
I guess the remaining options are wait until Service Canada fully reopens or fly back to the UK for some fingerprints (please no).... hopefully there's an alternative!
Thanks,
Ben
