I think you can request another copy from where you taken your exam (e.g. IDP or British Council). You will pay some amount for it. It is better to contact them for more information.

As per my experince they will not give it to ur hand as per their strange rules! They will send it to high commission directly just give them the adress..

Go to the british council web site and download additional trf form and fill after this go to your nearest standard chartered bank and submit fee almost 1500 and they also give you another slip to fill . on the slip you mentioned additional trf request.

After this drop this envelope into the british council box in the bank.
British council didnt give you ielts copy they directly send embassy OR international institutes .
you should mention the address on the trf form that where you want this ielts copy.

same situation have happen with me i mentioned the lams london collage address in uk , british council send this copy to collage and after this collage send be back this copy.

May I ask where you need to send Ielts extra TRF? Is it to some University or Visa office again?

In case of visa offices beware that visa offices don't accept directly sent Ielts from British council / IDP as your file number won't be mentioned on Ielts TRF or British council won't include any covering letter. However I have seen that IDP Australia can issue you a duplicate copy if you go to their office and request personally that you need to send it yourself to visa office and Visa offices don't accept directly sent TRFs. But British council will never do. They have very hard and fast rules. To be on safe side provide British council a covering letter in which all your details are there like file number, name , date of birth , email, telephone no extra. Request British council to include this covering letter with your TRF.

In case if you are sending Ielts to some University then its very easy and follow what staralihaider has said above.

As others have pointed out, you cannot have another copy for yourself, you can only have it sent to a university, embassy etc. after paying for the required fee.
