I'm making an inquiry on behalf of a friend who has all the documentation necessary to get a work permit. The only concern with this documentation is with regard to the "proof of funds available". At this time, he has a job offer for a position that pays very well, $90,000 a year. However, he does not have much in the way of savings. Will this affect his chance of getting a work permit? If so, should he make a paper application instead of making the application at the Niagara Falls border?
