About 4 years ago i moved to the states and was married to my husband.. so deciding to stay in the u.s at the time i had gotten my residence here in the states, now we are thinking about moving to canada in about three years and i want to have his residency card before that.. can we get it that soon? or do we have to wait until we are ready to move back home?? i like to have everything ready ahead of time.. but from what im reading its sound like you cant do that??? ::)

Just need to confirm, are you a Canadian Citizen? If yes, you may sponsor your husband while abroad (outland application), but then you must PROVE that you will be settling in Canada once PR has been issued to your husband. The landing papers will have an expiry date, however you could enter Canada, and complete landing procedures at the same time (before said expiry), and then return to the U.S. before finalizing the big move!
