Get SIN after landing deadline?

We are currently a little busy at work and can't escape to the Service Canada office... well, I fact, I tried yesterday and after 1 hour waiting I had to leave. This makes me wonder....

What's the deadline for getting a new SIN after landing?

Does anybody know?

There is no deadline for getting the new and permanent SIN, as long as you do it before your temporary one expires. You'll have to do it sooner or later though, so you might as well do it sooner. You must live in a big city with lots of people, huh?

Calgary....

I think they were just slow... usually all services are rather quick, but somehow this Service Canada is superslow, everybody seems too relaxed and chilled, thinking each step they take... as if they had the entire day to do a single application. There were 6 people ahead of me at 12pm by 1pm there were still 2...

I usually don't mind waiting, but I only had my lunch time to do it.... so one hour was my limit.
