Hi,

I want to get opinions from people about how this immigration lawyer is trying to help me to get PR within 2 years.

Because my passport is expired in 2 years (very urgent and lack of time), I contacted immigration lawyer for fastest way to get PR.
I told her my following information:
  • Will be graduated on June 2017
  • Have worked as part-time since March 2016 during full-time student in university
  • Manager willing to offer me Nominee after I graduate
  • My company still hasn't started Pre-Screen yet

Then, she told me that we can do PNP program and could take upto 2 years to can get PR.

Seriously, how is that possible?
Isn't getting PR through PNP program require Express Entry (through FSW or CEC) when I apply for PR? Or PNP program is different immigration program do not need Express Entry to get PR?
If go through EE, then I need work 1 year work experience after graduation and of course it takes more than 2 years to get PR if I include Pre-screen and Nominee procedure.

Can anyone think what immigration program does she trying to achieve here? I am really headache to find this one out.

Thanks,

Since you mentioned pre-screen, I assume this is for Ontario PNP.

What your immigration lawyer described is right on the OINP site.

As of the moment, the PNP for students is separate from Express Entry. No way to tell if it will still be the same by June 2017.

Also, they have not reopened this stream for 2017 yet, and when they do, expect it to fill up really fast. Your only hope is if OINP opens in June 2017.
