Hi all,

I have a very specific question regarding Police Certificates.

I'm an Italian citizen, In 2016, I worked for a German company for 10months. However, as a EU-citizen, I wasn't required to officially move my address/residence to Germany. For the majority of my time in Germany, was renting short term and was going back and forth to Italy every 6 weeks or so. I had an "Anmeldung" for the final 3 months of my job, but I was never de-registered from Italy like I am now working in Canada.

Given this information, do I still require a police certificate from Germany?

Thanks a lot in advance

Yes, you do buddy... Just check the justice department's website... Fill up the form with your current address and provide certified copies of your passport and any documents that might help them verify you were there like rental documents etc. It takes about a two weeks for them to process it and another two weeks to receive it.... Pretty straight forward...
