Hi,

I am 27 years old unmarried woman working in India as an HR professional. I have 6 years of work experience in HR and would now like to pursue my dream of studying abroad as I have accumulated enough funds to aid this. The problem is that early this year I had applied for a visitors visa to Canada which was rejected based on my intention to return, insufficient funds, employment status and travel history. I have not visited any country till now. Though my intention was very genuine and I had no plans of staying back in Canada, my application was rejected. Maybe the way it was presented by the consultant didn't give them enough confidence to let me in. However, there is no stamp of rejection on my passport. I was typically looking forward to visit the country for 1 month to meet my friends who were studying there and come back.

Now, I am looking at my options to study abroad and Canada seems to be the best one. Of course, as per the process I am going to seek admission in a university first, pay the fees and then apply for the study visa. But I am just worried now about the possibility of my study visa getting rejected due to this past rejection. I have pure intentions of studying there and coming back after the stay permit is over. I have no ties with Canada whatsoever except my friends who are studying there. My family and a younger brother who is working are all here in India. My fiance who is working is in India too, so I have to come back here. Can someone please let me know if there is any reason to worry about?
