Generic Form 1008 - Permanent residence outland

Hi guys i sent the generic form by post but C.I.C said they didnt recieve .

does this mean i have to send it through online ? my browser does not even open the pdf format of this form .

Some one clarify this for me

You have to mail the form since it requires a signature.

Do not use your browser to open the PDF.

Save the PDF forms to your computer and then open it with a PDF reader like Adobe Acrobat or something.

Save the completed form to your computer and also print it out. Sign and date where required. Mail whole application to CIC, as explained on the document checklist (sponsor checklist AND applicant checklist).

Also, when you mail the application package, you should send it by a method that gives you a tracking number so you can see when CIC receives it (don't expect CIC to respond immediately to the package arrival, it takes weeks or months for someone to actually *do* anything with your package, because there's tons of applications but not enough workers...)

this is actuali a second form .filled initial application in 2009 .They asked me for additional information

Fill it out ,sign and send it via a tracking system this way you will know they have received it . I have had to send additional information and this is what i did.

Just a comment, maybe it was just the version of Adobe I was using, but I noticed some of the forms do not "Save" as editable when you save them. They save but you cannot go in and re-edit them.

The fix for that is to use Adobe Pro (which does Save) but that costs $$. Just be careful that they are actually saving properly, I had to redo a form a couple of times because I decided to take a break and come back to them later.

No, you must submit physically due to the requirement of a signature.

I Finally figured out how to fill the form online .i had to find instructions on the C.I.C website .

They dont really spell it out in the letter about the BAR CODES.Which is the big deal with this form .one can easily print and fill yet what is required is one to fill it online , print , sign , date it and attach the documents starting with the pages where the BAR CODES have been generated automatically by the system.
