Hi all, I am planning for federal skilled and quebec but i am getting confused. I am not sure what is the basic french requirement /level . Also I wanted to know about chances of getting through in FSW as the cap is of 250 applications. I heard for computer technicals NOC category might be closed this may.
I also wanted to know what all academic documents/credentials have to be assessed. how and from where do we need to get them assessed to prepare for the file .

Your help would be appreciated.

Hello ramit kumar

Under the new criteria of Quebec immigration program effective from 1 Aug 2013 a minimum of B2 level is required to earn points for French language. However if you are able to earn sufficient points without French language you may submit your application but you will need to take an interview in French language before visa is grated.

Go through the following link for more details regarding Quebec:

For FSWP 2013 NOCs for Computer professionals i.e. 2174 and 2147 have reached cap now. Anyhow assessment of all higher education documents is required for designated Education Credential Assessment (ECA) organizations. There are as follows:

1. Comparative Education Service – University of Toronto School of Continuing Studies
2. International Credential Assessment Service of Canada
3. World Education Services

WES is so far the preferred agency for ECA by many applicants here.

Hope this helps
