I actually first posted this question in the CPP-O thread, but I figured starting a new thread might be more helpful..
background info: im canadian citizen, moved back to Canada in July 2014 from US, sponsoring my spouse who is studying in US on F1. CIC requested proof of funds and my residency in Canada, I emailed them my lease, my employment letter, direct deposits from my job into my spouse's bank account when i used to work in the US on OPT, couldnt provide more cuz when CIC asked for proof of residency, I just moved back to Canada so I didnt have much proof either..
I just got my most recent GCMS notes, done on Oct 16.
In my GCMS notes, the status for eligibility assessment is "Recommended Pass" and I have the following message in the most recent note section:
Following docs received as SPR's proof of residency: - SPR's residency in CDA: Residential Agreement beginning 2014/07/24 on a month-to-month basis - cannot provide tuility bills since they are paid by the landlord
-employment letter for a work at home tech consultant position starting 2014/07/28
-google search performed, company found
file passed to vo for review
What's the chance that the vo will not let me pass ? :-[
and I also wanted to ask, does the eligibility assessment also considers "genuine relationship"? Since there were only three sections in the GCMS notes: eligibility assessment, security assessment, and criminality assessment, I figured eligibility assessment is where they will assess the genuineness of the relationship, is that correct?
i know that the timeline for US citizens are much quicker...but anyone in a similar shoe that could share their timeline with me? im worried that the security and criminality assessments are going to take forever...
