It might seem a silly problem, but it still adds to the stress :)

We ordered our GCMS notes on Oct. 9, got the first email with the receipt and the temporary tracking number and then... nothing. It's been more than half of the 30 days, should we consider asking why we didn't get the second tracking number and the estimated completion date?

Of course Betina, get after them!! You are right, this stuff is like death by a thousand drips so anything you can be pro-active about go for it :D. Not silly at all. it is this kind of follow-up that customers should be receiving, not having to chase after. And by the way, there are 2 GCMS notes "experts" on the Jamaican thread, Chickie72 and Neveaha. They order theirs every month I believe and I am sure you could PM them or post your query there. Blessings my dear.

You never get a second tracking number. The "temporary" tracking number is in case there was an error with what you submitted, etc you could call them ASAP and say "my temp tracking number is and I forgot to..." or whatever. I have ordered notes about 5 times and you never get a permanent tracking number. If you ordered the notes by email (electronic files) then you will get them after 30 days. If you ordered by cd, they will be mailed to you after 30 days. If you ordered the full case files, then it would be longer.

Good luck!

oops....thanks for the correction/clarification Miss D......Betina did I tell you that we have our own in-house expert on GCMS notes from Port of Spain??!! ;D

When is it worth while to start ordering them? Like after how many months?

Hi Becki567, in my opinion, not until about 6 months have passed since you filed your application. However that may depend on your visa office and the experiences of others going through your visa office and how quickly they process applications. Do some searches in the main thread and you may get a better idea or you can even post this question there and you may get more responses. Blessings.

I know 4 people that got a second tracking number and even an estimate of the completion date. They got that in 10 to 14 days after requesting the notes. Now i've heard of someone that never got anything, not even the temporary tracking number, but their notes came on time.

So it's just as random as any other thing done by CIC :-D

Thank you everyone for your input. Speedy processing to everyone!
