Since status can be Started, Not Started or Complete, if I were to guess SII either means second option (not started) or it has started and it's in the second stage of processing. It's just a guess though.

Just out of curiosity, when can I apply GCMS notes? I am a december applicant and do you think if I apply now, do I get any thing reasonable?

It is a bit confusing - on one hand they want proof that you are in Canada and on the otherhand, they say if your address is in Canada you do not need to attach proof.
To be on the safe side, consider attaching a copy of your work or study permit instead. No, choose "member of the public" since you are requesting information for yourself.

It wont cost you anything, neither does it have any impact on your application. So you may go ahead and apply online.

GCMS really helps when you don't hear back from CIC, while the rest of the your respective month's group have received MR requests or worse - even the applicants from later months are receiving MRs and you havent. That is the time you should definitely apply for one. It may tell you about possible issues, it may not. All depends if the VO has left any sensible notes.

But it never hurts to apply for one.

Thanks Infoseeker12, may be I will wait a month or so to apply as they are processing Aug/Sep applications now and its still some time to look at Dec applications.
