Hi all,

A friend is looking to get a G license in Ontario given his driving experience in US. She has driving records for the past 1.5 years from Texas and also has driving record from a period of 5 years prior to that from Florida but with a gap of about 1.5 years between the two.

I saw from https://www.ontario.ca/page/exchange-out-province-drivers-licence#section-1 under section titled
" 2+ years driving experience (with exchange) " that "You only need to take an eye test, when you apply. After you pass this test, you get a full licence."

But when she went to the local drivetest, she was told that her driving experience from Florida is of no use since they need 2+ years in the past 3 years.

To help her I checked the Highway Traffic Act (here https://www.ontario.ca/laws/statute/90h08) but was not able to spot any such information. Does anyone have a reference to the relevant law?

I know it's on drivetest's website, but I'm looking for the exact legislation.
