Friends.

For two people the funds should be CAD $13,486.

My Question is, what amount should i fill in the form.

should i fill the same amount CAD $13,486 (i have)
or something like CAD $13,500 (i have)
or even more (i may not have, or have to manage later)

Please advise
Pankaj

You can either put the exact amount or put more in CAD. But when you send a bank statement (later to the visa office, maybe you should show a bit more due to exchange rate risk. Then again, i think they use the exchange rate on the date that they receive the application at the vsia office.

Yes I understand the exchange rate difference, nut my concern is will puting CAD $13,486 or $13,500 should be good for this CIO applicatioon, well i will show in my bank statement enough more CAD $1000 then the stated amount.

So here my concern is just to ask if $13,486 should be fine or should pur more like $20,000 (Will puting more money increase the chance of positive answer) I guess no but just want to ask others advise if puting the same amount ($13,486) as stated in the cic.gc.ca is correct or it should be slight more.

Hi Pankaj,

You can simply put 14000 CDN$

We are a family of 3 so we need to have more than 16000 so I am going to write 18000 CDN$

You can keep it round figure.

Your welcome.

But the difficult question is in what other forms we can show the funds except liquid cash in savings account, fixed deposits, saving certificates etc.

Can we use encumbered property as proof of funds? This question is specifically for CHC - New Delhi.

Dear rajnik1976,

You should have the minimum amount required for funs in CASH proven by bank Statement (Not the bank Certificate) You can use bank certificate as additional document just to show the amount in your account as in C$, if you do not have a C$ account.

But while filling in the forms you can add your saving certificates, shares, and Land value as "FUNDS AVAILABLE". Please arrange all the documents for confirmation of said savings.
