My common-law will going to provide 8000 CAD for my three weeks visit in Canada, he's also the one who will buy airfare ticket for me, and in my Bank Account i only have almost 4500 CAD. How much should I indicate in Funds Available for my stay in IMM 5257E? 8000+4000? Am i right? Thanks

Are the 8000 in your account? if so 8000 + 4000 if not 4000.

Thanks for the reply Jalex23

No. It's in the letter of financial support. So, i will only put 4000 CAD? Is that enough for three weeks stay? My common-law partner will provide for all of my expenses, food, lodging and airfare ticket. Thanks

It is enough.

"Available funds" means you can dispose of them at any time at will.

If you can have a bank draft that means you can dispose of it at your convenience = available funds.

You don't need a bank draft.

If it is your money and it is in your account and it can be converted to a bank draft at will (or traveller cheques, or withdrawn from an atm machine worldwide, or used to pay a credit card, etc.) it counts as an available fund.

How you decide to use it and access it through your trip is of no interest for CIC.
