Funds available for my stay amount

Hello!

I'm applying for the visitor record to extend my stay in Canada for me and my family.
We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 under 18 years old kids) looking to extend our stay for six months.
I can't find on the web direct or consistent information on the amount of money I need to state on the form, and proof.

Does anyone know where can I find that information? Thanks for your help!

There is no set amount but you need to show your bank statements with valid reasons why you need to extend your stay. Want to show you can stay and afford your visit. IRCC decides how long and may extend and give you a few extra weeks or the full 6 months. Or may refuse if they think you are trying to stay and work here.
