Hi All,

I'm a little stuck, hopefully someone can shed some wisdom.

I submitted my application in May 2014, and have just received the application returned in full. I missed one of the forms and incorrectly filled in a section wrong.

Qu.
A. Additional family information (imm 008-schedule 3). Have I miss understood this form. My application is only for myself. Do I still fill it in with all my family details, even when none of them will be coming with me?

B. Do i refill in a new form for the one with the incorrect section or do I overwrite on the form?

C. In resubmitting the application, can I reuse the other forms which are fine or do I have to redo them from scratch?

D. Does CIO, keep a record of returned applications? And would they penalise me now that I will be resubmitting?

E. Should I write a covering letter to explain the resubmission?

Your help is most appreciated.

Thanks

HI

You must fill all these family name even they are not coming with you...........

Thanks.
But that's annoyed. I was hoping to avoid this situation.

Can you help with my other queries?

B. Do i refill in a new form for the one with the incorrect section or do I overwrite on the form?--> What do u mean by overwrite..did u sent a computer filled form or by pen?

C. In resubmitting the application, can I reuse the other forms which are fine or do I have to redo them from scratch?--> Recheck all the forms. dont do from scratch but check all forms. May be they just sent you after checking this error and didnt go through entire application.

D. Does CIO, keep a record of returned applications? And would they penalise me now that I will be resubmitting? they will not penalise you. You have just made a mistake not a big deal. Doesnt matter

E. Should I write a covering letter to explain the resubmission?--> Yes. but not more than few lines. Just mention for ex. Sending after correctly filling schedule 3 form...Dont mention anything unnecessary

Your help is most appreciated.

Thanks

there is no way they will penalise you for this, just fill out the additional family member form and resubmit on ASAP basis, you are completely fine. additional family member is for everyone so that your siblings can get points of adaptability on your basis. only members you fill in this form will be able to get the points in future. but regarding your other query, you can write a cover letter explaining this but that is not going to help you in getting the front positions of the long queue, you will still be joining the queue at the end. about penalty or keeping record of your returned file is irrelevant to think about. it is just the completion check from where you file has return. it is not going to lower your points. it is very obvious

Thanks for your reply. Its a little bit more reassuring that you think I won't be penalised.

But I'm really bumped out that I now have to start all over again with the queue!! >:( as it seems like I was near the top.

Do we know if the successful application count is up to date?? http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/complete-applications.asp
It seems pretty low in numbers at the moment. Hopefully I still have a chance, let's hope!

I'll get the form sorted asap.

One last thing. Can I re- use any of the forms that are fine (though there are pencil marks on them), or do I start from scratch with new forms? And I presume there is no difference on the postal address to send the application again?

Chrs in advance ;)

No - it's not up to date. It's about 6-8 weeks behind.

Make sure you update your forms if any information has changed. Probably want to re-date everything as now it is 2+ months old.
