Hi All,

I sent my application for NOC 2173 code on Aug 16th 14. I am having the following concern. Please share your thoughts.

I have two experiences with designations "Software Engineer" and "Senior Member Technical". In the Schedule 3 Federal Skilled workers form, for the question 12a i have wrote the following way.

Primary Occupation - Software Engineers & designers - thinking that this is the name for NOC 2173. Nowhere in my experience the designation was "Software Engineers & designers".

I am really worried based on this my application would be rejected. Am i Okay here or Not ? Could someone please share your views.

If this application is going to be rejected, the next options.

1. I have created a request with the shipper to return the shipment back to INDIA, without delivering it to CIC as the shipment is still in transit. Not sure this would work or not. Have to wait till Wednesday. The application already reached CANADA but yet to be delivered.

2. Next option is file a new application, i have another IELTS test result(ORIGINAL) and second Original report of WES. I can get Proof of Funds letter from bank.

Please share your suggestions? I have used CC for first application.

Regards,
Bha2Can

Don't worry. Your two occupations were 2173?

Yes the two occupations roles and responsibilities matches with NOC 2173.

But the designation in one experience is "Software Engineer" and "Senior Member Technical". I wrote both as "Software Engineer" in the Question 12b.

I remember I have seen expert members in this forum saying that this poses no problem. More importantly, if you resend your application, your new one won't probably make it to CIC before the cap is closed. I suggest you keep the one you already sent and just hope for the best. Your mistake is not enough ground for rejection.

If i send it in 3-4 days once i get my first application (if courier returns) back, can't i make it with in NOC 2173 CAP ?

Would be very critical, and you may regret it forever. I am not saying I am sure of this. But the mistake is not worth the risk. Trust me.

Thanks Romar. Lets see how it goes.

The application reached Canada today and i already gave request for return to the courier. It may or may not be processed. If they may not process the request, it goes to CIC and cannot do much about it.

If i get the application back, i would send the same day, just change this form and resend.

People are saying in the forum that 2173 will still hold a chance for another 15 days or so.Hoping for the best.

I prepared a 2133 submission in case 2173 is full..

If you're confident of your positive eligibility under 2133, you've got to go for it instantly without considering 2173, which is very risky.
